The role

you know...What will you be doing?

The GCC ALIVE Kids Intern will support the execution of fun, safe, and Gospel-centered Sunday gathering. Each week, you will have the opportunity to care for kids, parents, and volunteers in a variety of ways. Through midweek prep, Sunday morning service coordinating, engaging in conversations with kids, and much more, you will play a key role in our mission in helping disciple the kids of GCC.

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

‍WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE IN THIS POSITION?


Sunday Gathering (4 hours)

  • Assist with ALIVE Kids set-up and tear-down each Sunday. 
  • Attend a weekly Kids Team huddle (Pre-service).
  • Fill a consistent role as either a class lead, classroom volunteer, or service coordinator each Sunday.

Midweek (7-12 hrs)

  • Attend a weekly 1:1 with the Family Pastor.
  • Prepare and gather materials for team members Sunday morning.
  • Assist in planing and execution for large group sunday mornings.
  • Plan and execute special events such as VBS, camps, and one day events.
  • Attend all "discipleship classes" offered as part of the internship.

‍YOU DON'T WANT TO SKIP THIS PART!!!


Hours: The GCC ALIVE Kids Intern will work 7:30AM to 12:30PM on Sunday mornings, and an additional 7-10 hours during the week. 

Oversight: The GCC ALIVE Kids Intern will report to the Family Pastor, Shawn Smith.

Compensation: $800 monthly for 11 months (see Program Overview below for details).

Length of Internship: September 2024 - July 2025.

‍Additional Expectations: The GCC Alive Kids Intern is expected to work an average of 12-15 hours per week. Some weeks will be a bit more; some weeks will be a bit less.
